Allie and Simon Update
I haven’t posted an update on them in awhile. It was a busy Summer with vet visits and illness with Allie atleast.
Simon is good, this weather hasn’t been great on his asthma but he is doing ok.
Allie I hate to say passed away recently. It has broken my heart and I miss her and wish she was still here.
She was losing weight and I noticed an issue going on with her mouth. Took her to vet and ran bloodwork only thing it showed was a thyroid issue and they thought maybe she had a bad tooth so made an apt to have dental work done. Day arrived she had one bad tooth but then they said they found like a sore on her tongue and a mass under her tongue. It was in a spot that would be invasive to do anything with and any time a mass has been found in the mouth it never ends well even if we tried to remove it. We put her on new antibiotics and a steroid but a week later she was gone.
I got to cuddle and love on her doing that week and am grateful I had that time with her. Simon wanders the house crying and looking for her and that breaks my heart even more. They have never been separated for longer than a day. I know animals grieve losses too and it’s hard to see.
She was loved by many, her loss was even felt by my vet clinic and those that cared for her came to say goodbye. My eyes I don’t think we’re the only ones to shed tears that day. And I can never thank them enough for the love and care they showed her.

My condolences to you on your loss of Allie. It is difficult to deal with your own grief and also watch Simon miss his companion so. You shared some sweet photos of Allie, illustrating wonderful memories to keep close to your heart.

Sad to hear about your cat passing. It’s tough when they have been with you any amount of time. At least you had time to say goodbye and am sure she/he (?) knew it.

Thank you, I did have time with her and loved on her as much as she wanted. And I think they know. Her brother spent more time with her and did not harass her as much. He still wanders the house calling for her. Makes me sad.
